The name Garcitas is derived from Spanish, meaning the fresh antlers of a deer, a reference to the shape of the creek’s projections and the abundant wildlife that call this land home.

Hunter Melton is the owner of Dos Vacas Land Co. and has partnered with L6 Ranch to develop, manage, and operate Garcitas Creek Ranch Estates. Together, they oversee the planning and execution of the community with a shared focus on thoughtful land use, long-term value, and responsible development. As a proud Inez resident, Hunter is deeply committed to strengthening the local community and responsibly improving the land he calls home.

Through Dos Vacas Land Co., his focus is thoughtful land stewardship, responsible infrastructure improvements, and long-term value for property owners. His vision for Garcitas Creek Ranch Estates is centered on protecting the rural character of the area while ensuring the subdivision is managed with clarity, consistency, and accountability.

Hunter believes development should enhance the land, not overtake it. From drainage improvements and road maintenance to clear property standards and communication with landowners, his goal is to elevate the community while preserving the independence and natural beauty that make Inez special.
